First things first, I do not claim to be good at golf. I have however played more than the average person throughout my life. I typically shoot low-mid 80s from the white tees at Westview, or mid-high 80s from the blue tees at Westview. Started golf when I was 15. No lessons, neither of my parents ever played nor had interest in golf, but my older brother played and he took me out to Westview. I had a blast, thought the game was an awesome challenge, and I haven’t turned back since!
Before I had my lesson with Blaise my golf game was in a bad spot. I could somehow keep the ball fairly straight but I was not getting any sort of yardages that I was used to. Everything was going a shorter distance than what I typically had been playing at. It did not translate to scoring anywhere near what I wanted to on the golf course.
Blaise got me to hit down on the ball and compress the ball with my irons better and I practically instantly gained 5-10 yards. Some shots even going 15 yards further when I struck them super well. He also taught me how to fade the ball which I have never done in my golfing days. I have always hit a draw or when I miss, a hook. A few weeks after a few lessons with Blaise and my ball striking was the best it has ever been. I played Westview and shot my personal best score of 71 even par from the white tees at Westview! Beat my previous best score by a whopping 6 strokes. I hit 16 greens which I know for a fact is my best by probably 4/5. The game felt so simple!
I have since not had the chance to play as much golf and I also hit so slumps about 8 months later, but went back to Blaise and he got me straightened out again. He is extremely helpful and excellent at figuring out what you are doing incorrectly. I appreciated the way he explained my own personal bad habits in my swing and showed me feels and drills to help not make the same mistakes over again.
10/10 experience and I know I will be back for more whenever I want to improve my game!
